Job Description:

Job Purpose:

  •  To implement and deliver the overall graphic design needs of the company’s products and external communication materials
  • Manage and develop all marketing initiatives for the company in line with company objectives
  • Create and design a wide variety of marketing and brand materials e.g. brochures, online and print ads, website, logo, brand visuals, creative templates, business cards, branded office materials, marketing promotions, event material etc
  • Undertake market research and analysis to direct marketing strategies and planning

Core Responsibilities and Duties:

  •  To keep the company’s brand guidelines up to date, contemporary and inject new and creative ideas into the brand on a regular basis using Photoshop, AutoCAD and Corel Painter
  • Work collaboratively with the General Manager, Sales Managers, Production Manager, printers, copywriters, photographers etc
  • Apply creative skills to a range of materials, products and activities, working within the brand guidelines (printed brochures, catalogue annually in five languages, data sheets, up to thirty in 10 languages, adverts, emails, web graphics, exhibitions, images, displays, posters etc.)
  • Work with different parts of the business to develop graphic designs across all media to meet the needs of the business ensuring cost effective designs are implemented
  • Project manage and design materials, using innovation to redefine a design brief within the constraints of timescales and budgetary requirements
  • Undertake photo, video and presentations, editing and manipulating to meet the individual product requirements, liaising where required with external agencies
  • Liaise with customers via email regarding their marketing needs for our products (sending images, drawing etc) as required and undertaking twelve marketing emails per year
  • Assist the Sales Managers with ad hoc projects and events as required
  • Work with a wide range of media and graphic design software and maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry leading design
  • Develop design briefs, strategies and present ideas to suit the company’s purpose presenting ideas from initial concepts to final completion
  • Quality assure and proof every artwork element for errors prior to printing or publishing
  • Work within the company budget to develop cost-effective marketing plans and resources for each product as required
  • Manage, expand and develop the company’s social media channels (e.g. website Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, Mailchimp, Sendinblue and LinkedIn) to enhance audience engagement
  • Develop all global strategic and tactical marketing initiatives and plans
  • Design letterhead, envelopes, folders and business cards as required
  • Create and implement marketing/media plans that include print, online, video, exhibitions and social networking opportunities, gifts etc
  • Conduct market research to identify effective promotional methods and negotiate media contracts
  • Ensure all advertisements are trafficked to the appropriate publications on online venues
  • Develop, write and maintain communication systems (emails, corporate announcements, newsletters etc)
  • Design annual exhibition stand and liaise with stand builders to ensure that it meets all company requirements
  • Work effectively on several live projects simultaneously (e.g. exhibition graphics/stands, packaging etc.)
  • Undertake package design, creating the packaging, graphics and visible outer presence of the products as required
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications
  • Maintain effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant company functions are kept informed of marketing objectives
  • Communicate with various media buyers, advertising agencies, video companies, printers, and other services to help marketing projects come to fruition
